Reusable Bag Giveaway with AML Foods

AML Foods is a Plastic Free 242 Trailblazer! The Ministry of Environment and Housing supported AML at its 4th Annual "BRING YOUR OWN BAG" Drive on Thursday, April 25, in celebration of Earth Day by contributing reusable bags for its customers. AML gave over 20,000 free canvas bags to shoppers at Solomon's Super Center, Solomon's Fresh Market and Cost Right stores across New Providence and Grand Bahama. The team has distributed more than 60,000 eco-friendly bags since the program began four years ago.

Other event sponsors who donated free shopping bags to the program included Insurance Management Bahamas, NUA Insurance Agents & Brokers, Bahamas First General Insurance Co., Firstcare Medical Plan, J.S. Johnson Insurance Agents and Brokers, Grand Bahama Port Authority, RBC Royal Bank, CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank - The Bahamas and TCI, Generali Worldwide, and Caribbean Bottling Co. Bahamas.

Choose the eco-friendly option! Sources estimate that if each shopper uses two reusable bags per week, this could remove about TWO MILLION PLASTIC BAGS from circulation each year.
